At the last EA General Assembly in Berlin we informed you about the GDPR and the provisions for accreditation. ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency) published now a report destined to familiarise data protection experts with the terminology of certification and to clarify concepts which are relevant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) certification (see "the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) certification".

- how to estimate measurement uncertainty in non-destructive analytical methods?
- how to estimate measurement uncertainty in multi-component analytical methods?
- how to estimate measurement uncertainty from sampling?
- what is fitness for purpose?
These issues, and others, will be discussed at a NMKL and Eurachem joint workshop in Copenhagen, Denmark, 29-30 September 2014.
Hereby we would like to invite you to participate in the 19th Conference on Food Microbiology in Brussels on 18 and 19 September 2014. The last three editions we could welcome each time more than 300 participants.

Just a couple of weeks ago ILAC published a report as to the results of the inquiry concerning the need to change the ISO 17025 in the near future! The results show a very divers opinion towards the change of several paragraphs. It will not be easy to bring those opinions to a close harmony, but the ISO 17025 will nevertheless need changing.
